If writing about music is like dancing about architecture, then what is writing about architecture like? Singing about cooking? Miming about painting? Whatever you call it, it’s what I do. I write about the design and the construction, the process and the project, the precedents and the innovation. I write about houses, schools, hospitals, museums, offices, shops, restaurants, and parking garages, as well as the people who create them. I write for architects, their clients and the public. And, I aim to communicate the powerful role good architecture – in all its forms – plays in shaping our communities and our lives.
